Welcome to Emotions at Work! My name is Laura and I am an Emotional Intelligence Coach who is passionate about helping people reach their full potential by developing their emotional intelligence (EI) skills. My approach is rooted in my Ph.D. research in behavioral economics, which shows that soft skills such as listening, empathy, and problem-solving (among others), can provide people with a competitive advantage in life and the workplace.
As an experienced coach, in-house trainer, and keynote speaker (in both English and Spanish), I am committed to sharing my techniques on how to unblock your outdated ‘mental models’ by enhancing your EI skills. Over the years I have witnessed clients’ lives transform as they’ve learned how to: manage their emotions effectively, be more assertive in their communication, develop greater resilience, adapt to change, and engage in more meaningful personal interactions with others.

While I am currently not accepting new clients, I am excited to announce the upcoming publication of my new book, which will help you uncover your mental model and give you the opportunity to access my proven emotional intelligence-building methods from the comfort of your own home.
The book, which is expected for release in February 2024, will go into greater detail about each of the 13 mental model ‘archetypes’ and help you bypass the negative aspects of your model using targeted EI exercises and self-assessment tools.
