Self-regard means that you feel comfortable enough about yourself so that you don’t need to impose your power through an all-encompassing confidence to make yourself seen by peers and subordinates.
Good team players demonstrate high self-respect by knowing their strengths and weaknesses. Knowing their weaknesses allows them to see the value of being surrounded by people who do know.
Know-it-alls overextend themselves by thinking they have got to handle everything, as their weaknesses shall be hidden at all costs.
So, are you displaying high self-regard or trying to manage everything by portraying a self-confident attitude?
